Microneedling with PRP
Microneedling with PRP is a cosmetic treatment that stimulates collagen production and cell reproduction.
Dr. Khuu will use a microneedling device to prick the skin, making tiny holes in the skin's surface. At Khuu Dermatology, we use SkinPen by Bellus Medical, the first FDA-approved microneedling device.
He will then apply PRP to these tiny holes to encourage collagen production and cell production. PRP is plasma in which there is a high concentration of platelets. Platelets are one of the components of blood that help it clot, so they are vital for healing wounds and injuries.
PRP also contains proteins, including growth factors and cytokines. These proteins help skin tissue repair itself.

Dr. Khuu recommends three monthly treatments for optimal results.
People may experience redness, and some mild bruising, which usually clears within 4–5 days. Patients are to not wash their faces for 3 hours after the procedure. A three month supply of skin care products to maintain optimal results is included in the package of three treatments.
